I need help with modding...

I got and GGMM and can mod vehicles and weapons but how to mod skins?
I saw in totorial doing claire.dff -> cj.dff and claire.txd -> cj.txd
But isn´t working there it says Can't find original TXD to replace! so what?

I don't bother with modding that sort of stuff, but I would assume you would need a program to extract images from .txd files, and then use something like photoshop to actually create the skin. I could be wrong.

that didn´t helped me much they only requesting skins and making skins but they don´t excitly say how to mod skins...

Oh, well sorry I'm going to try and take a stab at it.
Whenever you want to add or mod a skin or image, you have to work with the custom.img directory in /SAMP

That's where all your .dff and .txds are stored for that particular image. When you install one of these mods, do you give it a different name? If you copy over the original data it won't be able to locate the matching .dff and .txd files. The way I understand it is when you add a new image you find the object ID you want to replace, and add that to the new image. You have to keep the original object image as well so it can refer to it's specific data tables

Otherwise you could screw up the game indefinitely. Please lemmie know if any of it helps, or if you don't understand what I'm saying 'cause I'll try and help you anyway I can.

If so then yeah, go to where ever you SAMP folder is, for me it's
PCNAME/C:/Program Files/Rockstar Games/ GTA San Andreas/SAMP

Just make sure you have a tool that lets you view the file correctly. Dunno if you do or don't. That link should provide more tools if you want to look around.

ok I made progress.
I can skin any character in gta sa now.
I´m doing it lie this:

Ballas.dff-->claire.dff
Ballas.txd-->claire.txd

I´m replacing original skin with claire skin from resident evil (example).
But i can´t do that with cj...

I´m running img tool and with it I´m searching for example: search Catalina.
Catalina found her txd+dff data and then I´m replacing it with lara croft (for example).

But if i search Cj,no Cj.dff+txd files get found...
I only find aiport.cj
Bag.cj and such.

what to do?

And i saw in a video someone had a programm where he could change himself to ballaskin and so on...
(maybe cleo mod)?

i don´t know how to cleo modding please a answer becouse cj skins..
And a advice in cleo mod.(downloadling and tutorial if it is able).

CJ aren't a Normal ped, find him in player.img i think, CJ have torso, head, etc. So to Mod CJ you will need some skills at modding.

Ok i found a solution.
I downloaded cleo and skin sth so i can change skin ingame.
Then i changed the skin of this ammonation dude into chris redfield and now i can change my skin into ammonation dude which is chris now with skin manager.

Now I made it with these things but how to do this when playing on zombie server or some other servers?
I´d love to play as Chris-Redfield and thanks to Amine for the Resident Evil skins.
And i´d like to have this chromeguns in zombie server.
Is it able?

Yes you can mod your weapons, but never weapon.dat, If you change the ammunation dude to Chris Redfield, you need to find the skin id...

ok fixed that too but now how to conbine skin selector mod with car spawner mod.
To say it more excitly how to conbine 2 mods and using them 2 in-game is that able

I don't understand ahah, sorry. It's sounds like you're asking if you can combine two mods into one. And car spawning isn't a mod, at least I don't consider it one.

well what I excitly mean is:

I got a skin-selector mod.
I can use it in-game.
If I want to use such mods I have to install it into cleo...
Cleo crashed if 2 mods are installed.
(well that happened me once.)
(There´s a mod with that you can see how fast your vehicle is in normal gta sa.)
(I installed it into cleo folder too where the skinselector already was.)
Then it crashed.
Do u got any suggest how to run 2 or more mods without crashing it?

My idea is simple:
Having 2 cleo folders so that the 1 activatings skinselector and the other one car spawn mod.
Would that work?

Look at this street colt and then look to you desert eagle etc...

He's got a point, mods can be really fun.

SA:MP itself is a mod
I don't think you can do that Kill. Doesn't Cleo grab information from data files not used by SA:MP? That would cause you're client to crash. Unless it was programmed so that you could drop a folder into another folder, and have them work together then no, you can't do it the way you're trying to.

It sounds like you're taking different mods that won't normally work together and trying to fuse them together somehow lol. Put the mod for your skin where ever it is suppose to be, and the mod for your car where the mod tells you to.

That or try different mods. Modding is never a sure thing.

All the mods are legal, except who give you an advantage, big or small.

Why oO isn´t it cooler to walk as A resident evil character to do missions etc.
And isn´t it cooler to drive in a very cool lamborginie?

All mods haven´t any effect at sa-mp or server would kick me becouse weapon cheat m4 for example.
such I don´t got only in gta sa , and I think anyone cheated several times in gta sa.
And that there no cars able in mod i mustn´t say but if there were I say it again all these mods have no effect at sa-mp.

I think it isn´t able to fusion skinselector and carspawner
